The Community Development Department collaborates with Vernon County departments, municipalities, and businesses to identify financial resources and creative strategies that will boost economic opportunity, build resilient neighborhoods, and ensure communities are well positioned to thrive.

Vernon County Community Development Grant (2024) - Closed April 19, 2024
The Vernon County Community Development Grant program is open to municipalities and is intended to support projects that will help strengthen economic growth and resiliency in their community.  Applications are due April 19, 2024. Vernon County Opioid Settlement Community Grant
New grant opportunity available!  Vernon County is using funds received from the National Opioid Settlement to support community program initiatives of opioid mitigation and reduction strategies.  There are three application periods per year.  Applications are due January 1, May 1, or September 1. Vernon County Economic Development Loan
The Vernon County Economic Development Loan program is a flexible source of financing for businesses expanding or locating to Vernon County. This fund was created to enable businesses to grow, create jobs and improve the local economy.
