Thank you for visiting the Vernon County Emergency Management Website. Our intent is to make our site a resource for the Citizens and Public Safety Personnel of Vernon County for all things related to emergency and disaster Planning, Response, Recovery, Preparedness and Mitigation.
Mission Statement:
The Vernon County Office of Emergency Management coordinates disaster response and recovery efforts in support of the county and local governments. Through planning, training, and exercising we prepare response agencies, volunteer organizations, the private sector and citizens to respond to and recover from disasters natural and man-made.
Vision Statement:
Our vision is to continue to develop and maintain an emergency management program that is leading edge that encompasses a whole community all-hazards approach to include local, state, and homeland security initiatives. The program will promote a high level of training, planning, and exercising to foster a comprehensive all hazards approach for responding to, and recovering from various emergencies and disasters. All while promoting a high level of integrity, professionalism and empowerment to address the preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation needs the citizens and municipalities face in Vernon County.
