Nutritional Services
Vernon Manor’s Dietary Department operates under the management of a full-time registered dietitian. The Registered Dietitian assesses each resident’s nutritional needs to develop individualized nutrition care plans to optimize nutritional status, promote healing, and increase quality of life.
Residents of Vernon Manor receive three nutritious, balanced meals a day featuring many made from scratch items and seasonal fresh produce. In addition to a rotating, seasonal menu cycle, we provide special meals on major holidays. The Dietary Department is happy to accommodate each resident’s special dietary needs, food preferences, and food allergies.
Residents at Vernon Manor benefit from choosing meal alternatives, always available snacks, and dining atmospheres that promote socialization and choice. Resident’s families are encouraged to dine with their loved one; meal tickets are available in the front office of Vernon Manor. Lounges may be reserved through our activity department for your meal enjoyment.
In addition to preparing meals for the residents of Vernon Manor, the Dietary Department prepares meals for dozens of seniors in the community through partnering with the Vernon County Unit on Aging’s Senior Nutrition Program.
