COVID-19 Update

Vernon manor visitation guidelines as of 8/14/2022
  • The resident has the right to decline visitation at any time.
  • Outdoor visits are preferred, even when both resident and visitor are fully vaccinated. An alternate indoor area that allows for social distancing will be used in bad weather as scheduling allows.
  • Visitors may not attend resident activities at this time due to social distancing and masking requirements.
  • Visitors will fill out and sign a screening form that includes temperature, Covid-19 symptoms, recent exposure, and an attestation that they acknowledge the risk of acquiring or spreading Covid-19.
  • Visitors and residents are expected to perform hand hygiene before and after the visit.
  • Visitors must maintain 6-foot social distance during the entire visit unless the resident has been educated to the risks and wants to be touched by their visitors.
  • Visitors are to keep their mask over their nose and mouth during the entire visit.
  • Visitors should not be using the resident bathrooms. Please ask staff for a bathroom key if you need to use a bathroom.
  • Visitors should not be walking around the facility or mingling with other residents/staff/visitors. They can go to the resident’s room and walk with the resident to the outdoor courtyard for an outdoor visit.
  • Visitors are discouraged from visiting during meal-time but if present when a resident is eating MUST maintain 6-foot social distance and wear a facemask at all times.
