Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Vernon Manor.  Whether you are seeking a stay for rehabilitation, long term, respite, or “end of life care”, Vernon Manor will strive to make your experience enjoyable for you and your loved ones.  Whether coming from home, a hospital or assisted living, we will make your transition as smooth as possible. 
Our Admissions Department and Director of Nursing will work with your physician to complete an assessment prior to admission so that we can modify our services to meet your needs.

Vernon Manor does not discriminate for admissions based on a residents’ pay status, (ie: Medicare, Medical Assistance, Third Party insurance or Private Pay), race, color, religious creed, nationality, marital status or gender.

Upon your arrival at Vernon Manor, the Admission Coordinator, Registered Nurse and Social Worker will greet you and assist you in getting you settled into your room and answer any questions or concerns.  Our interdisciplinary team will work with you on developing an individualized plan of care that will help you meet your desired outcome. 
Our professional staff will be available throughout your stay to answer all of your questions and provide assistance in areas such as nutrition, therapy, resident rights, nursing care, financial concerns and discharge planning. 
Our goal is to make your stay comfortable.  We encourage you  to surround yourself with things that are important to you.  Here are some things you can consider in bringing:

  • Wash and wear clothing
  • Preferred personal care supplies
  • Spending money; safely kept and readily available onsite in a secure Resident Trust account
  • Family Photos and other belongings to personalize your room
