Vernon County has contracts with many service providers for individual and group therapy, day treatment, residential services and inpatient hospitalization. Contact the department for a list of resources.

Vernon County also provides protective services to individuals with chronic mental health issues who are no longer able to make appropriate decisions regarding their care and treatment needs and who pose a risk to themselves or others.  These individuals are committed to our department by the court system in Vernon County in order to have their treatment needs evaluated and then appropriate services provided.  The department works with the local court system, our Corporation Counsel, law enforcement agencies, guardians and families to assure that individuals receive the services that they need.
