The Fiscal Support Unit is responsible for reconciling monthly revenue and expenditures reports with the County Clerk’s Office, entering data into the state system to generate revenue, receipting checks, and providing the Director with status reports on finances of the Department of Human Services. Support staff are also the first point of contact to welcome the public to the department.

The Vernon County Department of Human Services operates with an annual budget of $5.5 million consisting of county tax levy, state, and federal funds. The department contracts with over fifty community resources to provide services to individuals and families. The fiscal staff is responsible for creating purchase of service contracts with these providers for each service unit within the department.
