Referrals of suspected abuse or neglect may be received from any source and in general they will lead to an assessment which identifies risk factors and safety concerns. A report may result in services being provided to children and families on either a voluntary or court ordered basis. Services may include case management, individual and/or family counseling, AODA treatment, parenting classes, etc. Out of home placements may result in cases where safety issues cannot be readily addressed.
