The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Vernon County works to improve the lives of those age 60 and older and those who care about the elderly. This is only possible through the assistance of volunteers sharing their time and skills in multiple ways.
Volunteers make a difference by helping with many tasks. Volunteers can decide what tasks best match their interests and level of commitment. Volunteers apply through the ADRC of Vernon County to complete an application and a background check to assure a good match with the volunteer and the program task. Volunteer opportunities are available in the following programs:
- Nutrition Program: Call our office to get more information
- Transportation Program: Call our office to get more information
- Tax Preparation Program: With the help of people like you, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax-filing help to those who need it most. We’re looking for compassionate and friendly individuals to join our team of local volunteers for the upcoming tax season. You’ll receive training and continued support in a welcoming environment. And, as our current volunteers tell us, you’ll not only learn new skills, but also get a great feeling from helping someone else.
