POSITION SUMMARY

This is a part-time (up to 975 hours per year) professional GIS Technician position supervised by the Planning-GIS Coordinator within the Land and Water Conservation Department.  Employee assists with implementation of the County’s Land Information and Comprehensive Planning activities.  This employee also shares responsibilities of other county, state and federal programs for all departments utilizing land information within Vernon County.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartography, Planning, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and two years experience with GIS applications. In evaluating candidates for this position, the County may consider a combination of education, experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
