(Assistance with
Activities of Daily Living)
A 2-bed adult family home that is certified by the county is
a private residence where care and maintenance above the level of room and
board, but not including nursing care are provided in the private residence by
the care provider whose primary domicile is this residence. This home is
certified for one or two residents depending on the size of the home and the
choice of the provider.
A 4-bed adult family home is licensed by the State and this
can be a private residence or a home operated by providers where the residence
is not the providers primary domicile. There is usually shift staff and
they also provide care and maintenance above the level of room and board, but
not including nursing care. This home is licensed for up to 4
individuals.
Community Based
Residential Facility (CBRF)
This is defined as a place where five or more adults
unrelated to the operator receive supervision and supportive services in
addition to room and board. Typical services are personal care,
supervision, information and referral, leisure time service, medication
management and health monitoring.
Residential Care
Apartment Complexes (RCAC)
This is defined as a place which offers independent apartments
with option of up to 28 hours per week of the following services:

– general housekeeping, transportation.

Personal
Assistance – daily living assistance such as
dressing, eating, bathing and grooming.
Article
III. Nursing services including health
monitoring, medication administration and medication management.
Article
IV. Emergency Assistance twenty-four
hours per day.
