The Vernon County Unit On Aging has leased a handicapped-accessible Mini-Bus for transporting as many as two wheelchair and 8 regular passengers to destinations on this schedule. If you need this service, please call the Vernon County On Aging Office at least 3 days in advance. Our regular Mini-Bus will make regular runs on this schedule unless the handicapped-accessible Mini-Bus is needed.

For Reservations: Call 637-5201 between 8:30 a.m. & 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Call by 3:00 p.m. weekdays BEFORE your trips to La Crosse and Viroqua, and three weekdays BEFORE trips to other destinations. If you need to cancel after regular office hours, call 637-5201 and leave a message. For transportation to your medical appointments, please call to make your Mini-Bus Reservations as soon as your medical appointments are made.

We now have a Volunteer Driver Program for transportation to medical appointments. There is a set co-payment required based on mileage. Call the Vernon County Unit On Aging Office for details.

The Crawford County Mini-Bus that goes from Crawford County thru De Soto, Genoa and Stoddard to La Crosse will be transporting Vernon County Residents to La Crosse.April  1, 8 & 24 are the dates this month. Juneau County Mini-Bus offers transportation from Hillsboro to Mauston on April 11th. Please call the Vernon County Unit on Aging Office at 637-5201 by 3:00 p.m. the day before to make your reservation. If you must cancel any reservation after regular office hours, CALL THE OFFICE AT 637-5201 BEFORE 7:00 a.m. and leave a message.

Suggested donation for Mini-bus rides in Hillsboro are: $.50 per 1-way trip to the Mealsite, $1.50 per 1-way trip to other destinations in Hillsboro, $2.00 per 1-way trip for anyone who lives outside of Hillsboro.

Due to the increase in the price of gasoline, etc., the suggested donation for trips to La Crosse, Richland Center & Viroqua is $6.00; for trips to Madison it is $10.00.
