Have you had the opportunity to use the Volunteer Driver Program?

If not let's see what it is all about.

The service provides door-to-door service. What is that?

Door-to-door transportation services offer personal assistance for persons who have difficulty getting in and out of vehicles and buildings. The volunteer driver will come to your door and assist you to the car as you leave your home, assist you into your appointment, and back again to your door when you return home. This service "opens the door" to a greater range of opportunities and independence.

The volunteer driver program supports the dignity and independence of older people by providing the mobility needed to help seniors continue to live independently in their own homes. The vast majority of seniors prefer to stay in their own homes. These services provide more freedom and indepenence for seniors who use them, and lessens the burden for caregivers.

Call 637-5201 to make reservations. Reservations must be made 3 working days in advance of your ride.
